Hi Guys, I am having problem with Qualcomm Atheros AR8151 PCI-E-Gigabit-Ethernet-Controller (NDIS 6.30) as well. This began after I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I am able to use wireless network just fine but not the Ethernet / wired connection.
When I connect ethernet cable for internet access it says 'Unidentified Network' 'No Internet Access'. I have HP Pavilion dm4-2070 64bit laptop with Windows 10. Survival craft download. I tried the driver updater in Device Manager but no joy. Also contacted HP and Qualcomm for help but again no joy.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. So after doing some digging, I found out that for Win 10 you have to be using Driver v2.1.0.26 which was released in 2016. Located the driver on this website: 1) Download driver, save it onto desktop for easy access 2) Start 'Device Manager' 3) Click 'Network Adapters' 4) Right Click 'Qualcomm Atheros AR 8161.' 5) 'Update Driver' 6) Click 'Browse my computer for driver software' 7) Click 'Let me pick from a list.'
8) Click 'Have Disk' 9) Click 'Browse' 10) Locate & Select the files that have been downloaded (if its saved onto your desktop, you should be able to scroll down to see that there's a file called 'netl1c63x64' setup file (I'm running 64bit btw)). 10) Update the driver and mine worked instantly!! Took me few hours of trial and error with various drivers. Hope this helps! UPDATE 10/2/2017 Scratch that, it worked fine last wk and when I logged in this morning, stopped working all over again. Back to square one. Just wondering if this hardware is even compatible with windows 10 at this point.
