How To Install Realtek Audio Driver Windows 10

When the driver installation is complete, you will need to set your audio settings again in the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the Control Panel (Classic View). Some OEM computers will have a custom version of the Realtek HD Audio Manager with the OEM manufacturer's name included instead.

Hello, I have searched many threads complaining about realtek audio drivers, but i believe i did not found any on this subject (if i'm wrong, my apologies, please post a link). As i encouter problems with realtek drivers, i want to ged rid of it. (For the information, the problems is i have no sound unless i'm on stereo, which is sad with 5.1 sound installation. And windows driver works perfectly.) To uninstall, i have a very efficient way (for those interested, as i noticed some threads about how to remove it): just launch a realtek HD audio driver installer. Endnote x6 serial number. It will do two steps: 1- uninstall current driver 2-install new driver, with a reboot after each step.

I just let step 1 act, then before rebooting, i just deactivate the launch of realtek installation at restart and eveything is fine. Until for some reasons, it misteriously appears again several days later ( 3 to 15 i would say).

Note: i use my computer about 5 hours per day. I deactivated the autoinstallation of drivers by windows, but it didn't changed a thing.

So, the driver seems to be gone for good! Here are the solutions I tried: 1 - This 1st solution did not work for me. 2 - The 2nd solution might work BUT, using only method 1 of the link is not enough. 3- delete existing folders where Relatek puts drivers, then create new folders, and modify the permissions so that nobody (except your account and NOT admin, trusted installer etc.) can modify it. This could prevent windows and Realtek from accessing the folder, therefore blocking and hidden installation. I did both the 2nd and 3rd solution simultaneously, so can tell you which one works. But at least, I got rid of this reappearing driver!

Thanks to everybody for their suggestions with the problem. The lovely bugged driver appeared again. So it was not the solution:/ My last reply was as follow: Even if the driver reappears. (excerpt): The script should provide the option to block drivers available for installation........ So, does the script block the installation? Do you get the option to hide it again?

If yes to the above, then that is what the script is for. The script cannot stop unwanted drivers from being offered to install.

It just stop the unwanted drivers from being installed. So, does the script block the installation? Do you get the option to hide it again? If the driver is back, i suppose it did not block the installation. About the option to hide it again: If i run the script as simple user, i see that realtek is now 'currently not hidden'.

Small problem: if i run the script as admin, i have popups instead of simple text in the CMD window, and after the first popup (about shared fax driver) i have an error, code 80070006. Line 25, 4th char (there should be the realtek driver in 2nd place). I also tried something stupid, but could work: created folders with the same name the driver creates (Realtek in both application folders) and modified rights so only my account, and not admin, system and trusted installer could do anything with it. Let's see what it does. So, the driver seems to be gone for good! Here are the solutions I tried: 1 - This 1st solution did not work for me.
